Ingredients

  • plain flour 1.5 cup
  • warm water (6 Tbsp) 90 ml
  • instant yeast (1 packet) 7 g
  • sugar 2 tbsp
  • egg 1 whole
  • milk 0.25 cup
  • salt 0.25 tsp
  • unsalted butter 2 tbsp

Instructions

    Stir together the warm water, yeast, and sugar.

    Add the egg and milk.

    Stir in the flour, salt, and butter into a soft dough.

    Let rise 2 hours.

    Tip onto a floured surface and flatten with your hands.

    Cut into squares and fry at 350°F until golden. Dust with powdered sugar.
