Balsamic Onion Chutney

Ingredients

  • large onions 6 whole
  • olive oil 4 tbsp
  • butter 2 tbsp
  • salt 1 tsp
  • brown sugar 2 tbsp
  • balsamic vinegar 1 tbsp
  • cane vinegar 1 tsp

Instructions

    Slice the onions and cook slowly in the olive oil and butter with the salt until very soft and golden, 45 minutes or more.

    Add the brown sugar, balsamic, and cane vinegar.

    Cook down until jammy and glossy.
